Responsibilities
- Support the Security Engineering's Southern region in the successful delivery of new build and service projects
- Programming and commissioning of access control, intrusion detection and video surveillance systems
- Coordination with various internal and external stakeholders, including access control team, programming and commissioning team, project management, external security vendors
- Compile, develop and maintain system configuration reports and technical documentation
- Provide feedback and assist in process improvement
- Participate in an on-call rotation, providing remote technical support and troubleshooting for security systems. After hours support may include evenings, weekends, and holidays
Requirements
- Degree in Information Technology or related field or installation field experience
- Must have 3+ years of security industry experience
- Candidate should have a strong background in networking including knowledge of IP addressing, subnetting, network topologies, routing protocols, network security, and the ability to configure and troubleshoot network devices like switches, routers, and firewalls
- Experience with Genetec Ominicast & Gallagher Access Technician, Plan Grid or Autodesk construction cloud
- Candidate will have a basic understanding of electrical principles including AC/DC circuits, relay logic & PLC's
- Experienced in configuring networks and of enterprise system architecture
- Up to 10% domestic and international travel may be required
