Job Summary:

San Diego FC is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Supporter Relations Coordinator to join our team. We are the newest Major League Soccer team, committed to making a positive impact in the San Diego community through excellence and innovation in football. We believe in the power of sports and community to inspire positive change and create lasting connections.

As a Supporter Relations Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in fostering supporter engagement, building relationships, and assist in coordinating events that align with the club’s vision to create opportunities for talent to flourish and San Diego to shine. You will be responsible for coordinating and executing Supporter and Community programs, partnerships and ensuring that our organization becomes an integral part of the San Diego community. This role will require weekend and evening work as needed to accommodate matchdays, community events and initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Supporter Relations Manager with day-to-day execution of Supporter & Community activities, including research, public relations, event planning, and event execution.
  • Work cross-departmentally with ticketing, marketing, and community relations to amplify the supporter experience.
  • Act as additional point of contact for supporters on supporter issues, listening to concerns and communicating concerns to Supporter Relations Manager.
  • Provide support at Match Days, Brand and Community events, and other Club events.
  • Oversee the Club’s Supporter Relations monitoring process, tracking all events and coverage, and creating regular reports for the Brand and Community Team, and Club executives.
  • Collaborate with departments across the Club, including Marketing and Content, Corporate Sponsorships, Ticketing, and Matchday Operations on various initiatives.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or relevant experience (e.g., Supporter Relations, Community Development, Sports Management, Nonprofit Management).
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to set goals, develop plans, and execute projects effectively.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Passion for soccer and a deep understanding of its role in San Diego’s diverse communities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups of stakeholders.
  • Experience of working in a customer facing / communications role or similar.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Excellent verbal communicator with the ability to communicate with all stakeholders.
  • Time management skills to be able to plan and regulate workload including the ability to prioritize demands and thrive under pressure.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Experience of working in a professional sports environment.
