Position Summary

Orlando Health is looking for a Gifts Processing Coordinator. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality control of donor information, accurately posting new gifts, retrieving data for senior staff, and analyzing financial data related to philanthropic contributions and expenditures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process gifts (donations) received from various donors and methods at the Foundation.
  • Perform data entry, allocate funds, and maintain accurate records.
  • Communicate with external donors and internal Foundation staff.
  • Ensure high attention to detail in all tasks.
  • Finance experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions

  • Performs analysis of donor information including decision making on appropriate funds, campaigns and appeals; as well as technical coverage to comply with IRS requirements in receipts and acknowledgements.
  • Oversees accurate and timely input of all gift and constituent and tribute information into Donor Information System.
  • Ensures accuracy and serves in quality control capacity for all gift entry batches in preparation for posting to general ledger.
  • Prepares written acknowledgements of donor gifts for President, Directors and Board members.
  • Oversees conveyance and storage of both electronic and paper files related to all contributions and expenditures.
  • Assists development officers with information requests including producing customized reports and assisting others in producing customized reports.
  • Serves as primary liaison with Corporate Accounts Payable with respect to Foundation cost centers and maintains appropriate records in accordance with corporate policy.
  • Assists with training on donor information system.
  • Contacts site leadership with financial information related to Gifts Processing.
  • Serves as assistant to Foundation Finance and Accounting functions.
  • Assists Foundation Controller and CFO with specialized analysis and reporting functions.
  • Provides database administration and maintenance assistance.
  • Operates Donor Information System and other personal computer programs to retrieve requested information listings.
  • Orients and develops Gifts Processing Specialist.
  • Maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
  • Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures.

Other Related Functions

  • Assists and performs any special projects and other duties as assigned.
  • Attends in-services/meetings as required by Department.

Qualifications

Education/Training

  • High School graduate or equivalent. Working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, presentation and/or database software, preferably Microsoft Office-based products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access). Working knowledge of Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge and Financial Edge general ledger accounting software.

Experience

  • Three (3) years of closely related experience is required.
