Are you passionate about analyzing complex investment opportunities and driving impactful decisions? Join our Investment Partnerships Group, a key team within the Kirkland & Ellis organization responsible for managing and optimizing our internal investment program. As an Investment Analyst, you’ll collaborate closely with senior managers and partners of the Firm, dive deep into strategic analysis, and play a critical role in shaping investment decisions.
As part of the role, you will prepare internal investment memorandums, present to an internal Investment Committee comprised of senior partners of the Firm to help guide the investment decision-making process, and ensure seamless execution of investments. The base salary range below represents the low and high end of the salary range for this position in Chicago. This range may differ based on your geographic location and cost of living considerations. At Kirkland & Ellis, we consider compensation more than just a base salary. What You’ll Do

- Drive Investment Strategy: Analyze diverse investment opportunities with a focus on strategy, team, performance track records, and key terms, presenting actionable recommendations to the Investment Committee.
- Craft Impactful Communication: Create detailed investment memos and summaries of offering materials, ensuring clarity and strategic insight for internal partners.
- Lead Execution: Prepare and manage subscription agreements and AML/KYC packets, working alongside a dedicated team to coordinate seamless execution of investments.
- Support Decision-Making: Document and analyze key decisions, including investment sizes, liquidity/continuation vehicles, etc. to the Investment Committee.
- Optimize Investment Planning: Present commitment spending analysis to the Investment Committee and identify trends or opportunities for strategic allocation.
- Enhance Reporting: Partner with external and internal developers to validate data, test features, and create intuitive reports, driving efficiency and accuracy in our database.
- Engage in Ad-Hoc Projects: Tackle dynamic research and analysis challenges, providing innovative solutions that advance the group’s objectives.
- Collaborate with Experts: Work closely with senior leaders who value your insights and encourage your growth.
- Make an Impact: Your work will directly influence the success of our investment program.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
You hold a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field—or equivalent experience that demonstrates your capability.
- You bring 5+ years of investment analysis experience in financial services, private equity, consulting, or a similar field, with a proven ability to evaluate and manage complex opportunities and workflows.
- You’re proactive, self-confident, and capable of working independently while excelling in team collaboration.
- Your commitment to excellence shows through your strong analytical, organizational, and research skills.
- You’re proficient in Excel, Word, and other MS Office tools.
- You prioritize relationships, and delivering exceptional client service with internal and external stakeholders.
