We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented HR System Specialist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have at least three years of HR experience and possess a deep understanding of PeopleSoft functionality, particularly in creating queries, troubleshooting, and resolving complex errors. As a key player in our HR operations, this position will require exceptional problem-solving, communication, and technical skills to support our HR system and ensure smooth operations across departments.
Location: Remote eligible in IL, IN, WI, DC, and VA
HR System Specialist Responsibilities:
- Utilize advanced PeopleSoft skills to create and manage queries, troubleshoot system issues, and correct complex errors
- Ensure seamless flow of data within PeopleSoft and its integration with other functional areas, understanding the impact of data across processes
- Provide technical support and guidance to HR staff, troubleshooting system-related issues and offering solutions
- Work with HR leadership to address challenges, improving data accuracy, and efficiency across HR functions
- Demonstrate proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, with a focus on Excel, including sorting, manipulating, summarizing, calculating, creating pivot tables, and building formulas
- Prioritize and manage a high volume of transactions while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced corporate environment
- Deliver excellent customer service by addressing transactional errors with professionalism and effective communication
- Work closely with HR teams and leadership to provide timely and accurate updates on system issues and progress
- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field
- 3+ years of HR experience, with a focus on system functionality and data management
- Highly proficient in PeopleSoft: experience with creating queries, troubleshooting, and resolving complex system issues
- Proficient knowledge of PeopleSoft functionality and self-service tools
- Expertise in using Microsoft Excel for data analysis, including creating pivot tables and formulas
- Strong understanding of HRIS systems and their application to organizational processes
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with HR staff and leadership
- Demonstrated ability to manage time and priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills to resolve complex issues
- Ability to thrive in a complex corporate environment and adapt to evolving system needs
