The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Complaints Analytics Intern to join our Deposits Compliance team. As a Complaints Analytics Intern at SoFi, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring our organization’s commitment to regulatory compliance, integrity and innovation through our complaints management framework. You will build a foundation of critical assessment, analysis, and second-line independent oversight and guidance regarding customer complaints related to SoFi Bank’s products, services, and processes. In partnership with the Compliance Officer(s), the Complaints Analytics intern will be tasked with completing end to end assessments of deposit related complaints and providing insight into the overall risk profile of the business and across products and suggestions for improvements, with a focus on enhancing member experiences.

  • This role requires a critical thinker to analyze data, comprehend member complaints, learn about regulatory requirements, and consider improvements to the member experience in a compassionate manner.
  • An enthusiastic, detail-oriented, problem solver who is willing to think outside the box to find a compliant solution for the member will succeed in this role.

**The candidate must be available for the entire internship period: Tuesday, May 27, 2025 - August 1, 2025**

What You’ll Do

  • Learn key regulatory requirements applicable to the deposits products and how to apply those obligations when analyzing, reviewing and timely responding to consumer complaints under the SoFi Bank formalized complaints management framework.
  • Identify potential trends and patterns through complaint analysis across multiple Bank products.
  • Work with the Compliance team and business partners on resolutions with a focus on improved member experiences.
  • Escalate potential issues related to complaints via the issue management framework.
  • Partner with Business Controls teams to understand risks and controls.
  • Collaborate with all team members to ensure the teams’ goals and deadlines are met.
  • Take on special projects as necessary.

What You’ll Need

  • Enrolled in an accredited US-based university (working towards a Bachelor’s degree ONLY) with an expected graduation date of Spring 2026
  • Must be returning to school for at least one quarter or semester after the internship
  • Have no more than 12 months of professional full-time work experience (excluding internships and research assistant roles)
  • Must be willing to relocate to San Francisco Bay Area and be available to work in the San Francisco HQ office
  • Must be working towards a STEM degree
  • Must be attending a US-based university for positions in the US
