As a member of the University Libraries Department of Marketing and Communications, works with team members, administration, and stakeholders to support the overall mission of the Libraries. This individual uses established practices, principles, and industry standards to plan, create and implement the University Libraries social media strategy for the main library and branch libraries. Supports the college's marketing and communication goals and serves as the primary account holder of the Libraries’ main accounts. This position works independently to create original content and to curate content that reflects an understanding of the principles of SEO best practices within existing brand guidelines and current accessibility standards. Responsible for analyzing engagement data, identifying trends in use of social media by higher education institutions, and planning and executing digital campaigns to build community online. Determines the best way to communicate with a variety of audiences including students, faculty, staff, and the community.

Works independently in creating and developing original content. Uses professional judgment to create and post content that best represents the Libraries and University.
