Experienced Analyst - Advisory Research
What is the Position? Evercore is seeking a Research Analyst to support the Chief Operating Officer and Co-Heads of Investment Banking in our New York office.
Primary Responsibilities: The Research Analyst will be responsible for conducting business research, compiling market intelligence, and preparing high-quality deliverables for executive management, senior partners, and investment banking professionals. This role is a demanding yet rewarding opportunity to gain exposure to the investment banking industry and build the foundation for a future career in finance. The Analyst’s primary responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Work closely with the Chief Operating Officer, Co-Heads of Investment Banking, Chief Financial Officer, and their teams to create high-quality market and competitive intelligence reports
- Prepare well-written, error-free research deliverables for executive management and senior partners in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint formats
- Compile and synthesize data from market research sources such as Bloomberg, Dealogic, Capital IQ, FactSet, Standard & Poor’s, and LSEG
- Develop creative solutions in Excel to address complex queries with minimal guidance
- Collaborate with junior and senior bankers to create in-depth industry research reports
- Gather, synthesize, and analyze information from equity research and market reports
- Support various business research assignments across the firm’s investment banking teams
Specific Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have an excellent, team-based attitude, relentless work ethic and high energy level. The Analyst will be ambitious, self- directed, creative, and resourceful. This position requires a commitment to long hours and a fast-paced, high-expectation environment. It is an excellent entry opportunity into the investment banking industry, and successful Research Analysts may apply to the Evercore Investment Banking Analyst program after 12 months. Candidates are expected to make at least a two-year commitment to Evercore.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or a related field
- 1-2 years of prior experience in an office setting, with demonstrated maturity to interact across all levels of the firm, including C-level executives
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Excel with the ability to develop creative, data-driven solutions
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, and manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines
- Passion for investment banking and a demonstrated commitment to learning about the industry
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and successfully manage competing priorities
- Strong work ethic, high energy level, and a team-oriented mindset

Expected Base Salary Range: $70,000 - $80,000
