As a full-stack engineer on the Tesla Autopilot Simulation team, you will play a pivotal role in designing, building, and maintaining cutting-edge tooling to amplify the impact of simulation in the training and validation of FSD models. Work on a wide range of tools, including 3D browser-based editors, data aggregation pipelines, dashboards, and more.
Responsibilities
- Create, maintain, and expand internal tools for simulating and evaluating Autopilot vehicle behavior, focusing on accelerating the development and validation of our models
- Design and implement tools and dashboards to analyze simulation results, identify trends, and visualize key performance indicators
- Increase our scenario creation throughput by servicing the tooling requests of our Scenario Creation team
- Work closely with the simulation team and Autopilot organization to understand workflows and develop tools that enhance existing capabilities and unlock new ones
- Own the frontend, backend, and infrastructure of multiple applications, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security
- Drive projects from inception to completion, presenting work directly to organizational leadership
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or proof of exceptional skills in related fields with practical software engineering experience, or equivalent experience
- Strong proficiency in the following languages: Go, Python, TypeScript
- Familiarity with 3D work, such as Three.js, is highly beneficial
- Experience with containerization using Docker and Kubernetes
- Strong knowledge of relational and non-relational database systems (e.g., PostgreSQL, Mongo)
- Outstanding interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills
- Passion for autonomy, simulation, and accelerating the future of self-driving technology

$120,000 - $318,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
