As a Scouting Operations Team Lead, you’ll help oversee a team of passionate individuals dedicated to the sports industry and data collection, focused on maintaining accuracy and integrity in fast-paced, high-intensity environments. In this role, you'll lead a team during live professional and college sporting events to monitor and verify the accuracy of data feeds and provide support to our data collection scouts. Your work will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability and continued refinement of our sports data, supporting our organization’s operations and decision-making processes, all while fostering continuous improvement and personal growth.

What you’ll do as a Scouting Operations Lead

  • Oversee live gameday operations, ensuring the accuracy and consistency of real-time data feeds for college and professional sports.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to troubleshoot and resolve data feed issues in real-time.
  • Monitor data collection trends and implement plans to improve data quality.
  • Stay updated on sports schedules, team rosters, and key statistics.
  • Provide feedback on scout performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Suggest product and data collection enhancements based on expertise.
  • Assist with the hiring, training, and development of part-time analysts.


What you’ll bring

  • Strong passion and in-depth knowledge of college and professional sports, including schedules, teams, players, and statistics.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines, utilizing strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Basic proficiency with data tools and platforms (e.g., Excel, Google Sheets, database systems).
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining effective team communication.
  • Experience in data monitoring, sports analytics, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with sports data platforms, APIs, and real-time data feed systems.

We’re a publicly traded (NASDAQ: DKNG) technology company headquartered in Boston. The US base salary range for this full-time position is 51,200.00 USD - 64,000.00 USD, plus bonus, equity, and benefits as applicable. Our ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The compensation information displayed on each job posting reflects the range for new hire pay rates for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
