Systems Analyst
ASSYST is seeking a skilled Systems Analyst to perform moderately complex computer systems analysis work for our direct client in Austin, TX.
The ideal candidate will work under general supervision, utilizing limited latitude for independent judgment while analyzing user needs and defining system requirements. This role involves developing functional specifications and designing business systems to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
Job Type: Contract (Corp to Corp/C2C or 1099)
Job Location: Austin TX (Hybrid: All Thursdays Onsite)
Responsibilities:
- Analyze user needs, define system scope, and document requirements.
- Translate user needs and requirements into functional specifications for business system design.
- Develop programs and applications using object-oriented programming languages and client-server application development processes.
- Utilize multimedia and Internet technologies for system enhancements.
- Analyze new or existing procedures, information systems, or utility programs for efficiency and effectiveness.
- Test and diagnose systems to ensure critical requirements are met.
- Assist staff in solving complex problems and performing higher-level work.
- Perform related work as assigned.
Requirements:
- 4+ years of experience analyzing procedures, information systems, or utility programs for efficiency and effectiveness.
- 4+ years of experience testing and diagnosing systems to meet critical requirements.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under general supervision.
- Ability to document requirements and translate user needs into functional specifications.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with object-oriented programming and client-server applications.
- Knowledge of multimedia and Internet technology.
- Ability to assist other staff members in resolving complex system issues.
