What You'll Do
Product Quality Engineers play a significant role in contributing to the business team, offering recommendations derived from their analyses, and leading cross-functional teams to execute process and product improvement efforts. This experience will require a combination of skills ranging from data analytics to project management.
The day-to-day
$54,500.00 - $77,500.00 / annually. For specific work locations within San Jose, the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, the base pay range for this role is $68,000.00- $92,000.00/ annually

What You'll Do
Product Quality Engineers play a significant role in contributing to the business team, offering recommendations derived from their analyses, and leading cross-functional teams to execute process and product improvement efforts. This experience will require a combination of skills ranging from data analytics to project management.
The day-to-day
- Review Viasat and Supplier product yield and field reliability data for trends.
- Provide analysis and recommendations to the business team, using data to tell compelling stories and influence action.
- Drive root cause investigations and process improvement efforts, using tools such as Pareto Analysis, Histograms, Cause & Effect Diagrams, and Cpk.
- Engage with teams to build relationships, focusing on solving problems to enhance quality, on-time delivery, and cost efficiency.

- Completion of a Bachelor’s degree or higher between May 2023 and August 2025 in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
- Experience in manufacturing, process engineering, or product development.
- Results-oriented with attention to detail, proactive, hands-on, and organized.
- This position requires U.S. citizenship.
- Passionate about statistical analysis and data visualization.
- Able to thrive in a highly multifaceted, fast-paced, and ambiguous environment.
- Strong communication skills with good executive presence; ability to facilitate difficult issues and drive collaborative teams for closures.
- Familiarity with quality tools, including Cpk, FMEA, sampling plans, data distribution, Gauge R&R, and data correlation is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to work directly with teams to solve problems.
- Drive ongoing product improvements through collaboration with OEM partners.
- Data-driven approach to problem-solving.
- Proficiency in python or other scripting languages.
