
Fortra Automate Specialist
Job Description:
The City of Phoenix is seeking a skilled Fortra Automate Specialist to join the IT team. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining automated workflows using Fortra Automate (formerly HelpSystems Automate). The ideal candidate will have experience in automation, scripting (PowerShell, VBScript, Python), and integrating automated processes with systems and applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement automated workflows using Fortra Automate.
- Create and maintain scripts to extend functionality and integrate systems.
- Troubleshoot and optimize automated workflows for performance and reliability.
- Collaborate with IT teams and business users to gather requirements.
- Provide documentation and support for automated processes.
- Stay updated on Fortra Automate features and best practices.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience with Fortra Automate or similar platforms.
- Strong scripting skills (PowerShell, VBScript, Python).
- Experience integrating automation with systems (databases, APIs, web services).
- Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
- Bachelor's degree in IT or a related field preferred.
Additional Information:
- Experience in automation workflows and file transfers required.
- Candidate must be able to work independently and with cross-department teams.
- Fortra Automate certification is a plus.
- Must be available to work remotely, but may need to relocate to Phoenix if converted to full-time.
