  5. On the left, click Content Blockers.
  6. Make sure Off is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.
  7. On the left, click Pop-up Windows.
  8. Make sure Allow is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Network Engineer with expertise in Cisco and Juniper networking technologies. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with VxLAN, Segment Routing, OSPF, FreeRADIUS, Terraform, and cloud networking. This role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining a university IT network infrastructure, ensuring security, scalability, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Network Design & Implementation:

  • Configure and maintain Cisco NCS chassis, Palo Alto firewalls, and Juniper MX platforms.
  • Implement VxLAN, Segment Routing, and OSPF in large-scale environments.

Cloud & Automation:

  • Utilize Terraform and DevOps for network automation.
  • Support cloud-based network infrastructure (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform).

Security & Authentication:

  • Manage RADIUS authentication systems, SSL certificates, and firewall security.
  • Ensure compliance with best practices in network security.

System & Infrastructure Maintenance:

  • Perform planned maintenance, code upgrades, and troubleshooting.
  • Manage BIND DNS, DHCP, and automation scripts for network operations.

Daily Operations & Support:

  • Handle network support cases and troubleshooting to ensure stability.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to enhance network performance and security.

Required Qualifications:

Certifications: CCIE or CCNP (Cisco) preferred
Experience: 5+ years in network engineering
Skills:

  • Hands-on experience with Cisco Core Networking, Juniper switches
  • Expertise in VxLAN, Segment Routing, OSPF, FreeRADIUS
  • Strong knowledge of Terraform, DevOps, and automation
  • Experience with firewalls, authentication systems, and security protocols
    Work Environment: Onsite in Tallahassee, FL (hybrid may be an option)

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with network automation (Python, Ansible, etc.)
Familiarity with Agile & DevOps methodologies
Experience working in university or enterprise IT networks
