Client is seeking a motivated and innovative Sr. IT Auditor to join our dynamic and collaborative Internal Audit team. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with executive leadership and technical teams to strengthen client s risk management and control environment while driving the adoption of emerging technologies and best practices. You'll lead audits across critical IT areas, including cybersecurity, cloud environments, and IT governance, ensuring our systems are secure, efficient, and aligned with industry standards.
As a Sr. IT Auditor, you will directly contribute to safeguarding client s technology landscape, collaborating with IT and business leaders to address risks and deliver actionable insights. Key Responsibilities
- Lead risk-based and security-focused IT audits across areas like applications, databases, networks, cloud, change management, BCP/DR, and third-party vendors.
- Develop audit scopes, execute audit plans, and deliver well-supported, actionable reports to stakeholders.
- Partner with external auditors to ensure comprehensive IT coverage and streamline audit engagements.
- Stay ahead of emerging risks by maintaining industry certifications, networking with IT audit communities, and contributing to the continuous improvement of client s audit methodologies.
- Collaborate with IT and business leaders to assess risks and identify opportunities to enhance efficiency, security, and compliance.
- Challenge the status quo and bring innovative ideas to strengthen client s IT and business practices.
What You Bring
Must-Haves:
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Accounting, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 3+ years of experience in IT audit, IT risk, GRC, Quality Assurance, Compliance, or related fields.
- Familiarity with IT control frameworks (e.g., COBIT, NIST, ISO 27001).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to assess complex risks and design effective audit strategies.
Nice-to-Haves:
- Certifications such as CISA, CISSP, or CISM (or a commitment to obtaining them).
- Knowledge of SOX ITGCs, SSAE 18/SOC reporting, PCI, NYDFS, or GLBA.
- Experience with cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure), virtualization, or emerging technologies.
