For one of our clients, we are looking for a Regional Key Account Manager, PNW + NorCal, remotely from the United States.
As a Regional Key Account Manager for the Pacific Northwest and Northern California regions, you will be responsible for managing and expanding relationships with key regional accounts, including Save Mart, Raley's, New Season, PCC, Nugget, and Mollie Stones. Accountabilities:

As a Regional Key Account Manager for the Pacific Northwest and Northern California regions, you will be responsible for managing and expanding relationships with key regional accounts, including Save Mart, Raley's, New Season, PCC, Nugget, and Mollie Stones. Your role will involve developing and executing strategies to drive revenue growth and profitability, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless product launches, and leveraging market insights to inform business decisions. This position requires a proactive and autonomous individual capable of effectively communicating brand strategies and fostering strong partnerships with key stakeholders.
Accountabilities:
- Develop and implement strategies for all aspects of business related to PNW and NorCal regional accounts
- Analyze promotional plans and history to evaluate trade spend/ROI, aiming to increase profitability while growing sales
- Lead presentations for new items and innovations to retailers, ensuring timely and efficient product introductions
- Identify and secure new distribution opportunities in untapped markets, managing the customer setup and onboarding process
- Create strategies and priorities for field teams, third-party merchandising partners, and broker partners to implement approved sales and marketing strategies at the store level
- Collaborate with distributors servicing PNW and NorCal regional accounts to monitor purchase orders and ensure timely fulfillment of reset orders
- Conduct monthly meetings with Demand Planning and Operations teams to ensure accurate forecasts and timely communication to meet production lead times
- Utilize syndicated data, consumer, and retailer insights to drive key strategies
- Work cross-functionally with trade marketing teams to organize marketing activations that drive brand awareness and coordinate key programs
- Manage broker partner relationships to ensure achievement of specified retailer KPIs
- Provide weekly reports to the Director of Sales West on retailer status and focus areas
- Prepare presentations for the leadership team regarding key account priorities, goals, strategies, and initiatives
- Occasionally travel to tradeshows, in-person meetings, and offsite events as required
- Proven ability to take initiative and work autonomously, managing projects from inception to completion
- Strong presentation skills with the ability to effectively communicate brand stories and strategies to key stakeholders
- Excellent negotiation capabilities, with experience navigating challenging scenarios to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes
- Demonstrated analytical skills, including the ability to draw insights from syndicated data, retailer data, and consumer insights
- Experience collaborating across marketing, shopper marketing, and retailer teams to achieve common goals
- Strong planning, organizational, and project management skills, along with excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication abilities
- Proficiency in Google Suite and Microsoft Office Suite; experience with team collaboration tools such as Slack and Zoom is preferred
- Intermediate proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables, formulas, and data analysis
- Minimum of 4 years of experience with a working knowledge of PNW and NorCal regional accounts and the CPG industry
- Experience in trade and promotional activities, including negotiating with retailers and managing retail pricing
- Experience at the headquarters level of PNW and NorCal regional accounts and broker management is crucial
- Proven experience in communicating goals and driving accountability with clarity
- Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings and weekends
- Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of insurance
