Position Overview

As a Scheduler at Millennium Home Care, you will play a crucial role in ensuring efficient

coordination of patient care schedules. Your responsibilities will include managing

patient visits, coordinating staff availability, and addressing patient concerns. You will

serve as the primary point of contact between clinicians and patients, requiring

excellent interpersonal skills and a compassionate approach.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate patient visits, ensuring schedules align with staff

availability and patient needs.

  • Handle patient concerns and respond to daily phone calls in a timely and

professional manner.

  • Act as the primary point of contact between clinicians and patients, maintaining

effective communication channels.

  • Document case communication accurately and efficiently.
  • Utilize electronic health records for scheduling and documentation purposes.
  • Perform clerical duties such as sorting, filing, and photocopying records.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth workflow and efficient

operation of the office.

  • Maintain confidentiality of patient medical information at all times.
  • Cross-train for various office functions as needed.

Job Conditions

This position involves managing deadlines and a high volume of telephone

communication. While primarily sedentary, some standing, walking, and minimal lifting

may be required. Strong communication skills, both oral and written, are essential.

Occasional travel may be necessary.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of six months of office experience.
  • Proficiency in typing and other clerical skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a compassionate approach to patient care.
  • Familiarity with electronic health records preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
