- Apply knowledge of insurance guidelines and requirements to resolve denials or partially paid claims through interaction with insurance carriers, patients or physicians.
- Correspond with client to resolve inquiries or concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Identify payer trends and notify manager of negative trends.
- Maintain HIPAA confidentiality and compliance.
- Maintain accurate documentation and reports.
- Following established processes and procedures.
- High School education or equivalency, medical billing courses and/or higher education a plus.
- Good computer, written, & verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes is not required but preferred.
- Previous medical billing experience is not required but preferred.
