
.NET Web Developer

IO Datasphere, Inc. has been providing project management, software development and IT staff augmentation services to our clients in the Midwest and throughout the U.S. since 1996. We are an approved vendor on contract to provide software development and IT staff augmentation services for the States of Illinois, Michigan, Minnesota, Iowa, and Wisconsin. We also provide these services to businesses, as well as local and county governments, in the Midwest and nationwide.
Our client is looking for a .NET Web Developer. The .NET Web Developer will assist client staff with rewriting and providing support for applications including modernizations and critical security updates.
Tasks
- Work with planning managers, architects, business analysts, quality assurance analysts and agencies to define and transform business requirements into technical design and programming specifications conforming to the system architecture.
- Implement enterprise solutions following established patterns in application development and data security.
- Build, deploy and test software applications and modules using automated test and deployment technologies and tools.
- Provide direction in identifying appropriate technical solutions (application and system level) that meets business objectives, which include defining technical alternatives to derive the most cost-effective solutions to meet client requirements.
- Review test cases and test plans in conjunction with quality assurance staff.
- Execute unit and integration testing procedures.
- Clearly communicate highly technical concepts, and to introduce new technological tools or methods
- Establish strong business partnerships with senior team members and with criminal justice and technical staff.
- Provide knowledge transfer.
- Provide ongoing support, including functionality and critical security updates where and when needed.
- Assist in training on integration of all client applications.

NOTE: The work is expected to follow BCA's hybrid approach, requiring Mondays and Tuesdays in the office, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays work from home. The on-site work location is located in St. Paul, MN.

- 7 years - developing ASP .NET MVC applications with C#
- 5 years - Unit test experience (NUnit)
- Experience using JavaScript
- CSS experience

- Experience writing T-SQL for MS SQL Server
- Experience within an Agile Scrum development team
- Experience in development of Windows Services using .NET 4.0 or above
- Experience using XML schemas
- Experience using XSLT
- Experience using REST/SOAP web services
- Experience using Web API
- Experience with DevOps incorporating automation for CI/CD pipelines
- Experience working with front-end JavaScript libraries, especially Bootstrap 4/5 and jQuery
- Knowledge of Domain Driven Design concepts
