Admissions Operations Coordinator

Opportunity

The Admissions Operations Coordinator reports to the Admissions Operations Manager and is responsible for data entry, application system support, and assisting the Admissions Operations office in the coordination and delivery of information.

Essential Functions

  • Serve as Slate (CRM) Super User, supporting the Customer Relationship Management Captain in optimizing Slate for Admissions and other internal departments.
  • Support the daily and seasonal tasks of the Admissions Operations office, including managing the Admissions email and phone, fulfilling interdepartmental mailing campaigns, and maintaining the physical inventory of the Admissions Office.
  • Process prospective student data by uploading third party datasets and application materials, reading transcripts, and auditing student records to assist in completing files for reading.
  • Supervise student employees of the Admissions Operations office, assigning tasks relevant to the office, supervising their work and approving their timesheets.
  • Assist Admissions Counselors with questions regarding student records to help progress students towards matriculation.
  • Collaborate with other departments by providing prompt responses to quick inquiries while also working together on larger projects.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and training opportunities, as required.

Required Education / Experience

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Working knowledge of Google Apps and Microsoft Suite

Preferred Education / Experience

  • Minimum of one year experience in a professional office environment
  • Experience in higher education admissions
  • Working knowledge of Slate CRM and/or Banner SIS

  • An understanding of the mission and purpose of Covenant College.
  • Must be able to assent to Covenant College's Staff Commitments

Physical Work Environment

  • This role is expected to be performed on campus unless otherwise directed or arranged for and operates primarily in a professional office environment using standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and other job-related technology.
  • There is a mix of standing and sitting for this role, however approximately 75% of the in-office work day is spent in a stationary position.
  • Classified as light, occasional lifting or lowering an object from one level to another up to 15lbs. (occasional - related to bulk mailings/receipt of goods)
  • Expressing or exchanging ideas and conversation by means of the spoken word; needs to be fluent and conversant using the English language.
  • Generally, college hours of operation for full-time staff are Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
  • Travel is not required for this position other than for occasional professional training and/or conferences.
