Job Description:
Seeking a highly talented and passionate Research Technician II for a cutting-edge project implementing and developing technologies for large-scale high-content genetic perturbation screens. The successful candidate will be in the lab, and execute advanced molecular biology and high-content screening experiments in single-cell biology and functional genomics. They will support large-scale perturbation data generation efforts to facilitate the development and application of computational algorithms and AI/ML models to decipher complex cellular circuits. An important part of the role will consist in communicating results and iterating on experimental design. This is a great opportunity to learn new skills and concepts in both molecular biology, single-cell genomics, and functional genomics.
- Have a Bachelor s, Master's, or PhD degree in Biology, Genetics, biomedical engineering, or related field with 2-5 years of experience
- Be well-versed in designing and executing cell and molecular biology experiments, interpreting data, and making figures
- Have experience with molecular biology techniques and mammalian tissue culture
- Particular experience in one or more of viral vector technology, single-cell RNA-seq, CRISPR-based genome editing preferred, but not required
- Be self-motivated, analytical, highly organized, and have great communication and interpersonal skills
- Contribute to team-based science and technology development
- Demonstrate a passion for science and eagerness to learn
