Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, manage, and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data effectively.
- Use Informatica Power Center to design, build, and maintain ETL workflows and processes.
- Work closely with project managers, benefits consultants, and actuaries to understand business needs and data requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity throughout all systems and processes.
- Create reports, dashboards, and other data visualizations to support decision-making.
- Analyze complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies that support business decisions.
- Document data sources, processes, and SQL queries for transparency and audit purposes.
- Provide clear, concise communication of technical details to non-technical stakeholders.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize SQL queries and ETL processes to ensure efficiency and performance.
- Participate in code reviews and assist in the development of best practices for data management.
Must-Have Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong SQL expertise: Extensive experience writing and optimizing SQL queries, including stored procedures and functions.
- Proven experience with Informatica Power Center for ETL development and data integration.
- Excellent communication skills: Ability to effectively communicate complex technical information to project managers, benefits consultants, and actuaries in a clear and concise manner.
- Comfortable working with large datasets, and familiar with data governance best practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with data profiling, validation, and data mapping.
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative team-oriented environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with other ETL tools or data integration platforms is a plus.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, etc.) and experience working with cloud-based data storage is a plus.
- Experience in a Financial or Banking industry would be advantageous.
