Job Description:
This role helps increase speed of delivery, improve quality/security of code and optimize processes for the development team. The candidate is responsible for identifying the bottlenecks of various development and delivery processes, working with team members to improve them, and improving the overall experience of developers. They are also responsible for infrastructure-as-code deployment tooling and supporting services on multiple cloud provides along with metrics, logging and alerting to ensure smooth operation.
The solutions are primarily cloud-hosted in Azure but also integrate to many on-premise legacy systems.
Eagerness to learn and understand technologies out of your comfort zone is required. Abrupt challenges provide opportunities for you to quickly learn and apply new skills in unfamiliar areas of technology. An optimal customer experience starts with the tools and best practices developed and maintained by the product team.

Responsibilities:
Works closely with Tech Leads and developers of various teams to assess existing problems and to come up with process improvement solutions
Designs and builds infrastructure that provide high levels of scalability, reliability, and performance, while balancing security, maintainability, and operational excellence
Actively participates in deploying application artifacts to appropriate target environments using the supported technologies and infrastructure
Surveys developers and technical members of the organization to understand their main pain points in the coding and development process
Collaborates with the rest of DevOps team to deliver consistent and holistic solution to the organization
Ensure traceability, observability, and retrievability of sources and deliverables
General:
Strong communication skills with ability to communicate complex technical concepts and align organization on decisions
Sound problem-solving skills with the ability to quickly process complex information and present it clearly and simply
Open to learning new ideas outside scope or knowledge
Required skills:
Excellent coding and scripting skills (Bash, Perl, Powershell, Maven, Ant)
Working knowledge of cloud-agnostic configuration management frameworks (Ansible, Terraform, etc.)
Knowledge of cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure) and cluster management tools like Kubernetes
Experience with containers such as Docker, OpenShift
Experience with continuous integration and related tools such as ADO, Jenkins, Hudson, Sonar, etc.
Strong communication skills with ability to communicate complex technical concepts and align organization on decisions
Sound problem-solving skills with the ability to quickly process complex information and present it clearly and simply
Utilizes team collaboration to create innovative solutions efficiently
Experience as a DevOps or SRE Engineer on a cross-functional agile team preferred
