Senior .NET Developer

A government agency is seeking a full-time Senior .NET Developer to lead the modernization and enhancement of a critical internal application. The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to transform business requirements into technical designs, implement enterprise solutions, and ensure data security. This role requires extensive experience in ASP.NET MVC, C#, unit testing, and front-end technologies. Familiarity with law enforcement or criminal justice systems is preferred. Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with planning managers, architects, business analysts, quality assurance analysts, and agencies to define and transform business requirements into technical designs and programming specifications.
  • Implement enterprise solutions following established patterns in application development and data security.
  • Develop, deploy, and test software applications and modules using automated testing and deployment tools.
  • Identify and propose appropriate technical solutions that meet business objectives, including defining technical alternatives to derive cost-effective solutions.
  • Review test cases and plans in collaboration with quality assurance staff.
  • Execute unit and integration testing procedures.
  • Clearly communicate complex technical concepts and introduce new technological tools or methods.
  • Establish strong business partnerships with team members and stakeholders.
  • Provide knowledge transfer and training on application integration.

Required Skills:

  • Seven years of experience developing ASP.NET MVC applications with C#.
  • Five years of experience with unit testing frameworks (e.g., NUnit).
  • Proficiency in HTML/CSS and JavaScript.
  • Experience with Entity Framework and writing T-SQL for MS SQL Server.
  • Experience within an Agile Scrum development team.
  • Experience developing Windows Services using .NET 4.0 or above.
  • Knowledge of XML schemas, XSLT, REST/SOAP web services, and Web API.
  • Experience with DevOps practices, including automation for CI/CD pipelines.
  • Familiarity with front-end JavaScript libraries, especially Bootstrap 4/5 and jQuery.
  • Understanding of Domain-Driven Design concepts.
  • Experience working with law enforcement or criminal justice systems is a plus.

Work Location:
