IT Asset Management Analyst
--6+ month contract / extendable and perm possible with good performance.
--Onsite in Houston, TX.
--Drug & Background required.
--Hours: 8:30am - 5pm CT
--Hybrid (Tues, Wed, Thurs working onsite.)
--Minimal travel required, not expected to be more than 25%.
The IT Asset Management Analyst is responsible for managing the lifecycle of IT assets, including hardware, software, licenses, and related resources. This role ensures compliance with IT Asset Management policies, company policies, reduces risks associated with IT asset management, and maximizes value from IT investments. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and experience with IT asset management tools and processes.
Asset Lifecycle Management:
• Track and manage IT assets from procurement to disposal.
• Maintain accurate records of hardware, software, and licenses in the asset management system.
• Ensure timely updates of inventory changes, including installations, transfers, and disposals.
Compliance and Audits:
• Ensure compliance with software licensing agreements and company policies.
• Support internal and external audits by providing accurate asset reports and documentation.
Inventory and Reporting:
• Conduct regular physical inventory audits of IT assets.
• Generate detailed reports on asset utilization, compliance, and costs for management review.
Procurement and Vendor Management:
• Collaborate with procurement teams to track new asset purchases.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies.
• Coordinate with vendors to resolve discrepancies or issues related to IT assets.
Process Improvement:
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance asset tracking and management.
• Develop and maintain policies and procedures for IT asset management.
ITAM Tools and Systems:
• Administer IT asset management tools and systems, ensuring data accuracy.
• Integrate ITAM tools with other IT systems, such as ServiceNow or CMDBs.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in asset management or a related role.
• Proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Tableau, Power BI).
• Familiarity with asset management systems and software. (e.g. Service Now)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to influence other both internally and externally.
• Ability to multi-task several important priorities simultaneously
