Baer is looking for Application Developer for a 6+ month project located in Niles, IL
Title: Azure Application Developer
Location: Hybrid Niles, IL (3 days/week)
Duration: 6 months
Rate: All-Inclusive
Alignment: W2 or C2C
Description:

• Design and implement applications using serverless computing and microservices principles, optimizing scalability and performance.
• Develop frontend interfaces and integrate backend services, ensuring seamless functionality across all layers of the application stack.
• Maintain the scalability, performance, and security of applications hosted on Microsoft Azure, ensuring that cloud-based solutions meet business and operational needs.
• Build applications that support Single Sign-On (SSO) using protocols like SAML, OAuth, and OIDC. Knowledge of Active Directory and Identity Management systems is required.
• Work closely with business analysts, cloud engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.
• Advocate and implement best practices for cloud application development, such as CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and robust application monitoring.
• Ensure that applications are highly available, with multi-level disaster recovery (DR) integrated into the development lifecycle.
• Design and build APIs, leveraging Azure Integration Services or similar tools for seamless integration between various applications.
• Offer expertise and support for resident RCCB applications, providing guidance where needed.
• Represent the team in Change Management activities, including participation in Change Board processes and documentation.
• Create clear and concise technical documentation, user stories, requirements documents, and training materials to ensure effective knowledge transfer.
• Continuously improve technical skills by staying updated with the latest trends in Microsoft tools, Azure technologies, and software development best practices.
• Perform other related duties or projects as assigned.

Requirements:

• Strong experience in API development using .NET Core
• Proficiency in frontend development, particularly with JavaScript frameworks such as Angular.
• Proven expertise in working with Microsoft Azure services, including cloud architecture and management.
• A proactive, hands-on mindset with the ability to jump in and get things done.
• 3+ years of experience in application development and cloud technologies.
• Solid understanding of microservices, serverless computing, and Azure cloud platforms.
• Strong knowledge of API design, integration, and development.
• Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks, such as Angular or React.
• Familiarity with SSO, Active Directory, and Identity Management protocols.
• Bachelor's Degree
