Evolver Federal is seeking a Network Engineer specializing in Cisco hardware to join our team supporting government customers in Washington DC. In this role, you will support the project of redesigning and implementing upgraded network infrastructure.

- Configure/deploy/upgrade new network devices across main campus and remote sites.
- Recommend updates and changes for the existing core network switch configurations.
- Implement and maintain security protocols and measures to protect network infrastructure and data.
- Develop and implement automation scripts and workflows to streamline network provisioning, configuration backup, and monitoring.
- Develop and maintain accurate network documentation and network diagrams.
- Review existing WAN and LAN designs.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent with 5 years of Information Technology experience.
- Experience supporting large LAN/WAN networks.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience with Cisco Switching, Routing, and Security products.
- Hands-on experience with Cisco Nexus Family Switches and Cisco Cat 9k.
- Knowledge with a Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification is preferred, though not mandatory for the position.
- Certifications: CCNA (highly desirable), CCNP (preferred).
- Excellent active listening and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to conform to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines.
- Experience as a Network Engineer with a focus on Cisco technologies
- Solid understanding of network protocols, routing, switching, and security.
- Experience setting up monitoring and backup solutions for network devices and infrastructure.
- Experience supporting projects such as deployment/decommissioning of switches, ports, routers, etc.
