Senior Platform Architect

We are seeking a Senior Platform Architect (Consulting, Pre-Sales & Delivery) with a strong background in platform engineering, API productization, and automation-driven architectures. This role blends consulting, pre-sales strategy, and solution delivery, helping clients define, implement, and scale their platform initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in multi-tenant platform design, API gateways, cloud-native architectures, and automation-first principles. They will also play a key role in guiding clients through platform adoption, defining technical roadmaps, and ensuring successful implementation.

Key responsibilities:

Consulting & Pre-Sales Strategy

• Engage with clients to understand business challenges and recommend platform solutions that enhance developer experience and operational efficiency.
• Lead technical discovery sessions, architecture workshops, and proof-of-concept (PoC) engagements to validate platform strategies.
• Partner with sales, engineering, and product teams to define technical roadmaps and articulate the value proposition of platform engineering initiatives.
• Act as a trusted advisor to C-level executives and technical stakeholders, ensuring alignment between business goals and technology strategy.

Platform Engineering & API Strategy

• Design, develop, and productize APIs for external reuse and revenue generation, ensuring scalability and governance.
• Architect multi-tenant, API-first platforms with a strong focus on elasticity, cost optimization, and automation.
• Implement and manage API gateways and service mesh technologies, ensuring security, performance, and observability.
• Establish best practices for API lifecycle management, versioning, security enforcement, and governance frameworks.
• Define developer enablement strategies, ensuring engineering teams can leverage self-service platform capabilities.

Delivery & Implementation

• Drive the successful implementation of cloud-native platforms, automation pipelines, and API management solutions.
• Lead technical delivery teams, providing architecture oversight and ensuring adherence to best practices.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC), GitOps, and AI Ops to streamline deployments and security enforcement.
• Define and monitor KPIs for platform adoption, performance, and cost efficiency, making data-driven recommendations for optimization.
• Oversee end-to-end platform modernization and migration initiatives, ensuring seamless integration with existing enterprise systems.

Core Competencies & Required Experience:

Technical Expertise (Must-Have)

• 10+ years of experience in platform engineering, cloud architecture, and API productization.
• Experience in healthcare highly prioritized
• Deep expertise with API gateways such as Apigee, Kong, AWS API Gateway, or Istio.
• Strong understanding of multi-tenant platform architecture, distributed systems, and cloud-native development.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Serverless architectures, and Microservices.
• Expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC), GitOps, and CI/CD automation using Terraform, Helm, ArgoCD, or FluxCD.
• Strong background in API security, including OAuth2, OIDC, JWT, and zero-trust architectures.
• Experience with AI Ops, observability, and monitoring tools such as Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, or ELK stack.
• Deep knowledge of DevOps, platform automation, and compliance frameworks (SOC2, ISO27001, HIPAA, etc.).

Consulting & Leadership Skills

• Proven ability to engage with clients, translate business needs into technical solutions, and drive decision-making.
• Strong background in pre-sales engineering, technical demonstrations, and stakeholder engagement.
• Experience leading platform modernization and cloud transformation projects for enterprise clients.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts in a clear and compelling manner to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Hands-on experience in technical delivery, ensuring successful deployment and adoption of platform solutions.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with FinOps and Cloud Cost Optimization.
• Familiarity with Service Mesh technologies (Istio, Linkerd) and API observability.
• Exposure to AI-driven automation for platform operations.
