NOTES
- 100% onsite position
- First shift position, 7 AM to 3:30 PM. There is some flexibility on the exact shift hours.

POSITION DESCRIPTION
- Retrieve, document via photograph/photomicrograph, section, and prepare (mount and polish) parts for metallurgical examination.
- This may include (but is not limited to) hardness testing, case depth evaluation, microstructure evaluation, corrosion cabinet monitoring, and report writing for low to moderately complex evaluations.
- This position will take work direction (location of sections needed, testing to be performed, etc.) from Materials Engineering staff. You may be asked to present your methods and findings to local groups of quality engineers or operations staff.
- Daily guided by what s in the lab. Prep work to parts, lab evaluations, reporting on findings.

SKILL REQUIREMENTS
- Candidates should be mechanically inclined and accustomed to hands on work
- Needs to have knowledge of metals and metal processing
- Must have lab experience (any kind of lab environment will be accepted)
- Must be proficient with Microsoft products

WHAT SETS A CANDIDATE APART:
- Demonstrated experience with technical report writing
- Metallurgy degree is a real bonus

EDUCATION
- Degree in Material Science preferred (Chemical Engineer as an alternative)
- Recent college graduates will be considered if they have a degree in Material Science or something similar
- Or demonstrated experience
