Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and maintain interfaces between healthcare systems, ensuring seamless data exchange and interoperability.
  • Implement DICOM, HL7 and FHIR standards for healthcare data exchange, transforming data formats and messages as required.
  • Utilize interface engines such as Mirth Connect, Rhapsody, or Cloverleaf to facilitate message routing, translation,and transformation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, define interface specifications, and troubleshoot integration issues.
  • Optimize interface performance and reliability, monitoring and tuning message processing workflows as needed.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for interface configurations, message schemas, and integration workflows.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry standards and best practices related to healthcare interoperability and data exchange.
  • Utilize Docker to containerize interface components, ensuring consistency and portability across environments.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience as a backend software Engineer or Integration Engineer, focusing on healthcare connectivity.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare data exchange standards such as DICOM, HL7 and FHIR.
  • Hands-on experience with interface engines such as Mirth Connect, Rhapsody, or Cloverleaf. 5. Proficiency in network protocols and technologies relevant to healthcare integration (e.g.,TCP/IP, HTTP, SSL/TLS).
  • Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker for packaging and deploying integration components.
  • Knowledge of healthcare information systems and workflows, including EMR/EHR systems and laboratory information systems (LIS).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to troubleshoot complex integration issues.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
