Position Summary
Under general direction, plan, organize, coordinate the various activities of property management at the Albuquerque International Airport. Represent the Albuquerque International Airport in the development and negotiation of lease agreements and terms; review, evaluate, and formulate and present recommendations to the city on a variety of matters related to the City's airport.

Minimum Education, Experience And Additional Requirements

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in business, Public Administration, Economics, or related field and;
Four (4) years of experience in the preparation, administration and monitoring of leases, contracts and property management.
New Mexico Real Estate, Associate Broker or Qualified Broker License is preferred.
Additional Requirements
Possession of a New Mexico Driver's License (Class D), or the ability to obtain by date of hire.
Possession of a City Operator's Permit (COP) within six (6) months from date of hire.
Must be able to successfully qualify for and maintain a Sunport Access Control Card as determined by the criteria et forth by the policies and guidelines of the Aviation and the Transportation Security Administration (TSA).

- Local, state and federal laws, codes and regulations pertaining to the lese of real estate property
- Basic principles and practices involved in the operations, development, maintenance of a mixed role general aviation airport, particularly as applicable facilities leasing and tenant rights
- Principles and practices of effective business communications
- Plan, coordinate property management involving airport tenants, customers, the community, governmental agencies and city departments
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contracted in the course of work, including customers, service providers, suppliers, co-workers and supervisors
- Understand, interpret, explain and apply City rules and regulations and provisions of complex legal and financial documents
- Analyze complex leasing, tenant improvement and tenant relationship issues; evaluate and recommend or implement effective course of action
- Effectively represent the department to other departments, agencies and the public
- Resolve conflicts and maintain a professional attitude
- Analyze and evaluate problems and make recommendations for appropriate course of action
- Read and understand construction plans and drawings
- Exercise independent judgment and initiative with general policy guidelines
- Communicate clearly and concisely, orally and in writing
- Utilize computers, computer applications and modern office equipment
- Exemplify an enthusiastic, resourceful, team oriented and effective customer service attitude
