Overview:
We are seeking a Principal Systems Analyst to bridge business requirements with technology solutions. This role will support debit and credit card programs, enhancing customer service capabilities, improving digital experiences (web and mobile), and optimizing vendor partnerships. The ideal candidate will work closely with business and vendor partners, facilitate requirement sessions, and drive the implementation of new features and functionality within the technology organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technology teams to define, document, and implement solutions.
- Develop customer journey maps, data flows, and system input/output documentation to support platform enhancements.
- Facilitate requirement-gathering sessions with internal teams and external vendors.
- Utilize SQL and data analysis tools to investigate, validate, and optimize system functionality.
- Provide expertise on APIs, relational databases, and mainframe systems to ensure seamless integration and performance.
- Work within Agile development teams, contributing to user stories, acceptance criteria, and sprint planning.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations (e.g., PCI, HIPAA) and best practices in financial services technology.
- Identify potential risks, troubleshoot system issues, and propose effective solutions.
- Stay updated on emerging technology trends to drive innovation and efficiency.
Qualifications & Experience:
- 8+ years of experience as a Systems Analyst in software solutions.
- Experience working within the debit or credit card domains is a plus.
- Strong expertise in SQL, relational database schemas, and API integrations.
- Knowledge of mainframe systems, job scheduling, and transaction processing.
- Experience in Agile methodologies and writing clear, structured documentation.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
