Our client, a leader in their industry, is looking for a full-time onsite Bookkeeper to assist their team during a busy time of year.

Salary/Hourly Rate

$25/hr - $30/hr

Position Overview

The Bookkeeper will join a cohesive Accounting department, reporting directly to executive staff. This is a fast-paced and high-volume position that provides extensive exposure to the functions of general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable. This Bookkeeper position is a long-term temporary assignment with a minimum commitment of six months. It may extend beyond that timeframe, but the company requires someone dedicated for the duration of this period.

Responsibilities Of The Bookkeeper

  • Process and post weekly ACH payables, including payment entry and posting.
  • Review and post weekly AP batches processed for both check and Amex.
  • Review and post daily and weekly bank entries.
  • Process and post weekly bank transfers between two accounts.
  • Provide staff with access to various reporting and payables websites via email authentication and verification.
  • Retrieve and enter insurance premium invoices from websites for ACH or check payment.
  • Print bank activity reports weekly for the Accounting Assistant to reconcile restaurant deposits.
  • Name and post all GL batches on a daily or weekly basis.
  • Oversee month-end duties, ensuring accuracy and correct period entries before final posting, while collaborating with staff.
  • Print financial reports for managers, district supervisors, and officers.
  • Submit draft financials for monthly CPA review.
  • Supervise and oversee all accounting functions, ensuring accuracy and proper entry, while staff assists with bookkeeping tasks related to their weekly responsibilities.

Required Experience/Skills for the Bookkeeper:

  • 5+ years of accounting experience.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel.
  • Sage 300 experience.
  • Ability to meet deadline requirements and communicate effectively with non-accounting staff.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree is preferred but not required.
