Information Security Engineer II with Top Gaming Company - Remote

Title: Information Security Engineer II

Location: Remote - ideally comfortable with PST hours but can sit anywhere

Duration: 9 months with potential to extend (currently thru 12/15 ish)

Pay: $58.00 - $76.00/HR W2

We are looking for a Senior Security Engineer focused on building tooling for our deception technology program. The goal of this engineer is to design and implement solutions that improve the ability to detect malicious activity and make the environment hostile to attackers.

The perfect candidate has the desire to build and maintain the tooling that makes the company a hard target for would-be attackers. They have a technical background that spans a wide range of technologies including Active Directory, AWS, Jenkins, Kubernetes, MacOS, and Windows. They understand attackers tactics, techniques, and procedures and can use this knowledge to implement an effective deception strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement deception technology tooling that fits into our deception strategy.
  • Collaborate with other security and engineering teams to ensure successful deployment and operationalization of deception technologies.
  • Deploy and document tooling that produces high quality alerting in various areas of global infrastructure.
  • Stay up to date on new attacker tactics, techniques, and procedures.

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in Information Security Engineering roles.
  • Programming experience with Python or Powershell.
  • Understanding of network reconnaissance, lateral movement, privilege escalation, and other attacker tactics.

Desired Qualifications

  • Familiarity with AWS cloud solutions, containerization, MacOS, and Windows.
  • Experience working on large, multi-month projects with other engineers.
  • CRTP, OSCP, or similar certifications.
  • Experience performing incident response.
  • Knowledge of software build processes and associated technologies such as Github, Perforce, and Jenkins.
