Harvey Nash USA has been engaged to find a talented Virtualization Engineer for an enterprise Insurance Client.

A reasonable, good faith estimate of the minimum and maximum hourly wage for this position is $70/hr - $78/hr on W2 (Depending on Experience).

Duration: 12 Months Contract with possible extension

Required technical skills:
7+ years related system engineering/Infrastructure and customer support experience.
Extensive experience related to security in Microsoft Server 2012 and 2016
5+ years experience in enterprise corporate infrastructure design, implementation and troubleshooting,
5+ years with both Microsoft Server 2008R2, 2012 and 2016.
5+ years experience with SCOM/Orchestrator.
4+ years experience with scripting and automation.
5+ years experience with Active Directory.
5+ years supporting Datacenter co-located equipment.
Extensive experience in support
Experience with knowledge of Windows, Linux and Unix Operating systems
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory, networking and security concepts
Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to apply them during business impacting incidents.
Capable of mentor others and lead by example.
Project Management, Problem Solving, People Management.
Ability to work on complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires in-depth evaluation of various factors
Extensive knowledge and experience in addressing and remediating Windows server vulnerabilities.
Extensive knowledge and experience in Server Hardening methodologies
Extensive knowledge of the use of SCCM to deploy and install Microsoft Security updates

Must Haves:
Scripting Experience with PowerShell, Orchestrator, and other scripting languages.
Experience in managing and deploying SCOM.
Experience in Windows system administration.

Role:
Working with the Unit Manager, provide Senior Level Windows Server setup, administration, configurations, and automated implementations.
Working with the Unit Manager, assist in planning, design, implementation, and operation of Windows and Virtual infrastructure projects and participate in the specification of business requirements and implementation plans. Assist in supporting State Fund s Microsoft Windows Server environments services and resources for optimal efficiency, functionality, security and management.
Help support State Fund s VMWare Virtualization environments services and resources for optimal efficiency, functionality, security and management.
Responsibility will include but not limited to re-architecting the existing Microsoft DFS, Group Policies, DNS and DHCP infrastructure.
Will be assisting with server migrations between on-premise infrastructure and cloud environments (Azure, AWS, etc.).
Provide operational support and experience with scripting and SCOM infrastructure.
Participate in capacity planning and Disaster Recovery
Help define, improve promote architecture and standards based on ITIL best practices.
