Within Amazon Transportation Services (ATS), the Carrier Services team plays a key role in supporting carrier partners who transport goods for Amazon. Our team resolves payment issues related to daily freight movements into and out of our North American fulfillment network. This is an exciting opportunity to join a high visibility team in the fastest growing new market in Amazon’s portfolio.

We are looking to hire an Accounts Payable Dispute Resolution Specialist to support the growth of our expanding Amazon Transportation Services network. In this role, you will ensure timely and accurate resolution of payment disputes of our carrier partners while upholding Amazon’s commitment to exceptional customer service. You will work independently and as part of a team to investigate payment discrepancies, reconcile payment-related disputes for our carriers, and contribute to payment-related process improvements. Success in this role requires strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, effective communication, and the ability to deliver results in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.

Key job responsibilities

  • Resolve payment disputes for carrier partners by investigating claims and ensuring compliance with Amazon’s policies and SLA
  • Analyze payment discrepancies, calculate adjustments, and provide accurate resolution
  • Meet or exceed established daily resolutions goals and contribute to maintaining a seamless payment process
  • Prioritize and manage multiple cases while meeting deadlines
  • Track dispute resolution progress and maintain organized records of resolved dispute cases for reporting purposes
  • Communicate effectively with carrier partners to explain findings, clarify payment details, and resolve disputes professionally
  • Adapt to changing business needs by supporting payment initiatives, managing ad-hoc tasks, and contributing to special projects based on urgent team priorities
  • Contribute to process improvement efforts by identifying opportunities for greater efficiency, accuracy, and carrier satisfaction

Basic Qualifications

  • High school or equivalent diploma
  • Knowledge of Excel at an intermediate level (e.g., pivot tables & charts, multiple criteria lookups, nested logical/IF formulas, data cleansing, array formulas, etc.)
  • Experience managing large data sets and utilizing to drive performance and process improvements

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1+ years of program management, logistics, operations, supply chain, transportation, or equivalent experience
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience with SQL
