DevOps Software Engineer - Python / Kubernetes

The DevOps Engineer supports our line of business operations by developing IaC solutions using modern frameworks and technologies in accordance with industry and company standards of software engineering.

Although this is a remote work position the candidate MUST be located in the USA.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, debug, and deploy scalable, efficient, and reusable code
• Perform ad hoc analysis and troubleshooting to resolve issues with deployed systems
• Maintain documentation and source control
• Write code as part of a collaborative team, building and deploying infrastructure components
• Manage, define and break down tasks in an agile Kanban environment
• Mentor other team members
• Implement with some autonomy and architect solutions in collaboration with engineering leads
• Own the development and production infrastructure, including Kubernetes, Terraform VMs, and Airflow
• Provide rapid response to the needs of the team
  

Skills and Experience:

• Strong experience with Terraform and Ansible and managing an IaC environment
• Expert Python experience
• At least three years of experience automating infrastructure in a public cloud (Google Cloud Platform, AWS)
• Understanding of basic networking and systems administration concepts
• Strong working knowledge of Kubernetes and Terraform
• Airflow, and Windows automation a plus
• Demonstrated ability to debug, problem solve, test, and develop solutions independently
• Ownership mindset and capable of self managing tasks, scope and priorities
• Focused on providing our customers and team members with world class products and services
