Our client is a diversified fintech firm looking to hire a Vice President to join their team. This role will work with various departments including the front office investments team, in-house, and external valuation experts.
Responsibilities
- Report directly to the Director, Financial Controller, and interface directly with senior management team members
- Lead financial accounting and controls, and financial operations
- Manage the audit process surrounding the multiple on-balance sheet investments
- Work with front office teams to determine accounting implications of new business/investments
- Develop, implement, and upgrade controls and procedures to ensure the function will be Sarbanes Oxley ready compliant
- Research and analyze accounting matters; drafting and implementing formal accounting policies; evaluate current accounting practices and procedures and drive continuous improvement
- Enhance intra-group funding, transfer pricing & equity accounting and documentation
- Enhance management reporting capabilities via expanded use of Netsuite available fields
- Bachelor’s degree
- CPA required
- Experience with accounting for and management of principal investments
- Familiar with accounts payable operations
- Experience with Sarbanes Oxley compliance
