Front End Developer WordPress and Elementor

Looking for independent consultant who don t required sponsorship( W2 like and no H1B)

Remote role but Austin, TX preferred(Consultant need to be from TX)

3-6 months contract

Note:

• Their public facing website is in WordPress and the user experience team would like it converted to a react site
• They are looking for a person to rebuild the website
• JavaScript needed

Experienced Front-End Engineer with expertise in WordPress and Elementor

Focused on converting an existing WordPress website into a modern React stack while ensuring design consistency, accessibility, and performance.

Key Highlights of the Role:

• Focused on specific deliverables, including converting WordPress websites and integrating custom Elementor designs into a React framework.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Lead the conversion of our WordPress website into a modern React-based framework, ensuring consistency with current design and functionality.
• Leverage deep WordPress and Elementor expertise to extract, adapt, and translate website elements into reusable React components.
• Use advanced front-end frameworks and tools, including:
  • React 18 and TypeScript for application logic and component structure.
  • js (app router) for server-side rendering and seamless routing.
  • Material UI for component design and implementation.
• Ensure responsive design principles for seamless user experiences across all devices and platforms.
• Maintain high standards of accessibility, internationalization, and adaptive UI to meet diverse user needs.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to confirm design and functionality requirements are met efficiently.

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years prior Front-End Engineering and WordPress experience.
• Extensive experience with WordPress development, including custom themes, plugins, and troubleshooting.
• Advanced proficiency with the Elementor plugin for creating custom layouts and designs.
• Passion for designing and building with accessibility, internationalization, adaptive UI, responsive design, and other core UX considerations.
• Experience with component-based user interface development, with a focus on creating composable and reusable UI elements.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in converting WordPress sites into React-based architectures.
• Familiarity with front-end testing frameworks and strategies for component-based applications.
• Strong understanding of modern front-end build tools such as Webpack and Babel
• Experience taking on broad new challenges at a startup.
• Experience with agile development methodologies.
