We are seeking a skilled Datacenter Technician to join our team and support our data center operations. This role involves installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting hardware, network equipment, and infrastructure to ensure optimal performance. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in data center environments, strong problem-solving skills, and a commitment to uptime and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and maintain servers, storage, and networking equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, connectivity, and performance issues.
  • Perform regular system monitoring, including temperature, power, and security checks.
  • Manage cable routing, rack installations, and equipment upgrades.
  • Conduct hardware diagnostics and replace faulty components (hard drives, power supplies, etc.).
  • Ensure compliance with security policies, access controls, and data protection standards.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of equipment, configurations, and maintenance logs.
  • Assist with system migrations, data backups, and disaster recovery efforts.
  • Collaborate with IT teams, engineers, and vendors for system optimizations.
  • Support remote hands services for troubleshooting and on-demand requests.

Required Qualifications:

Experience with server hardware, network devices, and storage solutions.
Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, VLANs, DNS).
Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose hardware and software issues.
Familiarity with data center best practices, including airflow and cabling.
Ability to lift heavy equipment (50 lbs+) and work in tight spaces.
Strong documentation and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Certifications such as CompTIA Server+, CCNA, or AWS Certified Advanced Networking.
Scripting knowledge (PowerShell, Python, Bash) for automation.
Experience working with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
