Education and Experience:
High School graduate or equivalent.
A minimum of 15 years of experience as a mold engineer, mold maker, and/or senior mold technician in the injection molding industry.
Experience with tool building for Plastics/Molding
Experience with injection molding of PFA and PVDF is preferred.
Experience with 3D CAD modeling.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Ability to read, interpret and update complex tooling drawings.
Ability to perform preventative maintenance, evaluations of injection mold tooling.
Ability to communicate and work well as a member of an injection molding facility team.
Self-starter with ability to work independently.
Physical Requirements:
Requires frequent standing.
Frequent lifting up to 20 pounds.
Good dexterity and attention to detail through visual inspection.
Job requires employee to work with coolants, medium noise level.

Job Description:

- Have good understanding of various types of tooling used in molding and their proper application.
- Review and evaluate existing injection molds for wear, damage, and expected longevity.
- Compare mold tooling against tool drawings and updating drawings as needed.
- Conduct basic preventative maintenance on mold tooling and coordinate mold repair with outside tool makers.
