Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced EDI Consultant to develop, implement, and maintain EDI solutions for secure and efficient data exchange. This role involves EDI integration, mapping, troubleshooting, and compliance with industry standards such as ANSI X12, EDIFACT, and HIPAA.
The ideal candidate has a strong technical background in EDI development, experience in healthcare or pharmacy benefits, and proficiency in cloud-based integration solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain EDI solutions to integrate various trading partners.
- Analyze and map data between internal and external systems to ensure seamless integration.
- Develop EDI file formats, including fixed width, delimited, XML, and proprietary formats.
- Configure and manage communication protocols (FTP, SFTP, AS2, WebDAV).
- Troubleshoot and resolve EDI file transfer issues, ensuring data integrity and compliance.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to define business and technical requirements.
- Assist in the onboarding and certification of new EDI trading partners.
- Ensure all EDI processes comply with HIPAA regulations and other security standards.
- Maintain documentation of EDI processes and transactions for auditing and internal review.
Must-Have Skills & Experience:
3+ years of experience in EDI development, integration, and maintenance.
Strong knowledge of EDI standards (ANSI X12, EDIFACT, HIPAA transactions).
Experience with EDI mapping and translation software (IBM Sterling, Cleo, Azure Data Factory, or similar).
Hands-on expertise in PBM claims adjudication and healthcare/pharmacy benefits industry.
Proficiency in communication protocols (FTP, SFTP, AS2, WebDAV).
Strong technical skills in SQL, Java, SAS, or Python for data transformation and file manipulation.
Familiarity with cloud-based data integration and EDI systems.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
Experience optimizing EDI workflows and process improvements.
Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance and data privacy standards.
Education Requirement:
Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
