Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to join a dynamic team working on a web-based Power Apps platform-based application. This platform is used by both internal HHSC/DSHS agency staff and external partners for intake and processing of information from over 1,500 users. The successful candidate will be responsible for gathering requirements, conducting detailed analysis, and collaborating with delivery teams and application users to develop system modifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Requirements Gathering & Analysis: Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements for system modifications and enhancements.
- Documentation & Reporting: Create and maintain business requirement documents, user stories, and detailed design specifications for system changes.
- System Modifications: Work closely with delivery teams and technical teams to design and implement system changes based on business requirements.
- Testing Coordination: Coordinate and assist with system testing, including unit, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Agile Environment: Actively participate in an Agile development environment, ensuring proper documentation and communication of changes.
- Project/Product Management: Collaborate with project and product management teams for planning, prioritization, and communication of project milestones and deadlines.
- User Support: Provide support to users, including training, troubleshooting, and ensuring smooth communication during demos and code releases.
- On-Call Support: Provide on-call support as required during certain project phases.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 8 years of Business Analyst experience
- 8 years of experience with SQL
- 8 years of system reporting experience (Oracle, SQL)
- 8 years of experience in systems testing (Unit, Integration, UAT)
- 8 years of experience working with Agile software development methodologies
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2 years of experience in Project and/or Product Management
- 1 year of experience with Jira
Additional Notes:
- Public-sector experience, especially in local, state, or federal government projects, is highly desirable.
- Experience with Texas government agencies or similar public-sector experience is a significant advantage.
