Job Summary:

The Data Architect will design and deliver scalable, secure data solutions using Microsoft Fabric to meet business goals. The role involves leading the architecture, implementation, and optimization of data lake architectures, data integration, and cloud analytics. Key responsibilities include collaborating with internal teams, establishing data standards, and ensuring high performance and security across data systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement end-to-end data solutions using Microsoft Fabric (Lakehouse, Data Warehouse, Semantic Models, Power BI).
  • Lead Medallion Data Lake architecture, focusing on data integration, quality, security, and performance.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to gather requirements and provide strategic guidance on Microsoft Fabric best practices.
  • Optimize data performance and scalability, ensuring high availability and cost efficiency.
  • Implement Microsoft Purview Catalog for data governance, including domain definitions, access policies, and data trust.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentoring to development teams on cloud-based data solutions.
  • Develop and maintain architectural documentation and implementation guides.
  • Stay up-to-date with advancements in Azure services and data analytics technologies (Azure Synapse, Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL, etc.).

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Expertise in Microsoft Fabric and Azure technologies (Synapse, Data Factory, Power BI).
  • Proven experience designing Medallion architecture and data lakes.
  • Strong understanding of data integration, cloud architecture, and data security.
  • Experience with Microsoft Purview for data cataloging and governance.
  • Solid background in performance optimization and scalability for data systems.
  • Familiarity with cloud analytics, real-time analytics, and machine learning solutions.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
