Job Title: Python Programmer
Location:Remote, worker can be located anywhere in US, but must work EST hours
Interview process: Panel Teams Meeting. Manager may possibly hire from one interview.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support existing proprietary Python applications, scripts, and tools.
- Develop and maintain Python applications, scripts, and tools.
- Write clean, efficient, and reusable code following best practices.
- Collaborate with software engineers, cyber security engineers, and other stakeholders to define project requirements and specifications.
- Design and implement scalable and robust software solutions.
- Debug and resolve technical issues, ensuring the stability and performance of applications.
- Perform code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
- Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously improve skills and knowledge.
- Document software development processes and code for future reference.
Education:
Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Qualifications:
- 5-7 years proven experience as a Python Programmer or similar role.
- Strong proficiency in Python web frameworks (e.g., Django, Flask) and common libraries (requests, Pandas, NumPy).
- Familiarity with web front-end technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus.
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Knowledge of database systems (e.g., SQL, NoSQL) and data modeling.
- Understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
- Excellent critical thinking skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with machine learning and data analysis techniques.
- Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
Travel Requirements: Up to 5% may be possible
Work Schedule:
- 40 hours per week, with occasional off-hour support as needed.
