Job Title: CPQ Pricing Specialist

Role Overview:
We are looking for a CPQ Pricing Specialist who can bridge the gap between business needs and CPQ technology solutions. The ideal candidate will have expertise in both functional and solution architecture of CPQ platforms, a deep understanding of pricing techniques, and the ability to lead discovery workshops, assess solutions, and perform comparative analysis of industry-standard CPQ solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead discovery workshops with business stakeholders to understand pricing processes, discounting models, approval workflows, and overall CPQ requirements.
Gather, document, and analyze business requirements for CPQ implementation projects, ensuring alignment with best practices.
Analyze and design pricing models, including subscription pricing, usage-based pricing, tiered pricing, cost-plus markup, and promotional discounts.
Conduct solution assessment and comparative analysis of different CPQ and pricing solutions based on:
o Business requirements fitment
o Product capabilities
o Cost-benefit analysis
o Overall compatibility with enterprise architecture
Define functional and solution architecture for CPQ systems, ensuring compatibility with the broader application landscape, including ERP, Billing, CRM, and other revenue management systems.
Collaborate with technical teams to translate business requirements into detailed CPQ solution designs and configurations.
Evaluate existing pricing strategies and recommend enhancements to improve efficiency, compliance, and profitability.
Support the development of pricing governance frameworks to ensure consistency and compliance with industry standards.
Provide recommendations on best-fit CPQ solutions based on industry trends and emerging capabilities.
Assist with user training, change management, and post-implementation support to drive adoption of CPQ solutions.
Qualifications & Skills:
Experience: 5+ years in CPQ business analysis, pricing strategy, or revenue operations, with at least 3 years of hands-on experience in CPQ implementations (Salesforce CPQ, Apttus, Oracle CPQ, or similar).
CPQ Expertise: Deep understanding of Salesforce CPQ and other industry-standard CPQ platforms with experience in solution architecture and pricing configuration.
Pricing Knowledge: Strong expertise in pricing methodologies, including subscription pricing, usage-based pricing, cost-plus markup, tiered pricing, and promotional pricing strategies.
Solution Evaluation: Experience in conducting comparative assessments of CPQ solutions, evaluating fitment based on product capabilities, cost-effectiveness, and integration feasibility.
Technical Understanding: Familiarity with CPQ data models, workflows, validation rules, and integrations with ERP, billing, and CRM systems.
Certifications (Preferred): Salesforce CPQ Specialist, Salesforce Business Analyst, or any relevant CPQ certification.
Soft Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent stakeholder management, and the ability to translate business needs into actionable CPQ solutions
