Job Summary Digital Cloak is seeking an experienced Network Engineer to join our team and assist in evaluating and modernizing our customer's network infrastructure. The Network Engineer will have a strong knowledge of network integration fundamentals in a Microsoft environment. This is largely a planning and advisory role and does not require the employee to provide emergency response on nights or weekends.   • Advise on and plan modernization efforts for network operations.
  • Analyze local and wide area network systems, including planning, designing, evaluating, recommending operating systems and protocol suites, etc.
  • Make recommendations to resolve complex interoperability problems.
  • Support acquisition of hardware and software as well as subcontractor services as required.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for network processes and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices for network management.
  • Monitor and analyze network performance, implementing tuning and optimization strategies.
  • Ensure maximum performance and uptime of all network solutions.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
  • Strong knowledge of network integration fundamentals.
  • Experience with VPN solutions, cloud connections, and data center connectivity.
  • Ability to advise on and implement network modernization efforts.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • A good grasp on technology and network equipment that will be emerging over the next decade.
Required Education, Certifications / Licenses, Related Experience:
  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science or a related field or equivalent experience.
  • 7 years of demonstrated experience in network engineering and planning.
  • Relevant certifications in network engineering and management.
Preferred Education, Certifications / Licenses, Related Experience:
  • Experience working with and providing advisory services to senior Government personnel.
  • Advanced degree in a related field.
  • Additional certifications in advanced network technologies and solutions.
Physical Job Requirements:
  • This position requires the ability to remain in a stationary position (standing and/or seated) more than half the time.
  • This position requires the ability to spend more than half the time viewing computer monitors.
Clearance Requirements:
  • ship is required.
  • Active DoD Secret clearance is required with SCI eligibility.
Primary Work Location:
  • This is a hybrid position. On-site work will be performed at the customer's facility in Stafford, VA. Employee must live within a 45 minute drive of customer's facility.
Travel Requirements:
