Role Description: As an IT Work Intake and Demand Manager, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end intake, triage, and prioritization of IT work requests, ensuring alignment with the company s strategic objectives and resource capacity. You will collaborate with IT, Data, and Business teams to assess feasibility, estimate incoming work, and facilitate resource allocation for projects and initiatives. IT Demand Management & Estimation:

  1. Manage Work Intake & Triage Oversee the intake and triage of incoming IT and data-related work requests, ensuring they are properly assessed and categorized.
  2. Prioritize Requests Evaluate and rank incoming demands based on business impact, resource availability, and strategic alignment.
  3. Facilitate Work Estimations Collaborate with IT, Data, and PDCD teams to T-shirt size estimate work requests, considering feasibility, cost, and capacity.
  4. Coordinate Team Engagement Identify dependencies and assemble the right teams to ensure accurate effort estimates.
  5. Communicate Estimates & Updates Provide timely updates to requesters, ensuring transparency and clarity on estimated effort, feasibility, and prioritization.
  6. Optimize Demand Management Processes Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of work intake, prioritization, and estimation.
  7. Track & Report on Demand Requests Maintain visibility into work requests, providing regular updates and insights to stakeholders.
  8. Support Continuous Improvement Conduct post-project evaluations to refine estimation accuracy and improve demand management practices.

Future Responsibilities Capacity & Demand Management

  • Develop Capacity Management Framework Support the design and implementation of an enterprise Capacity Demand Management process to allocate resources effectively across projects.
  • Enhance Resource Planning Work with IT, Data, and PDCD teams to analyze capacity constraints, identify resource gaps, and ensure optimal resource allocation.
  • Improve Forecasting & Decision-Making Leverage historical data and demand trends to develop more accurate forecasting models for resource planning.
  • Facilitate Cross-Functional Alignment Collaborate with leadership and portfolio teams to ensure that demand intake and resource allocation align with strategic business goals.
  • Monitor Capacity Utilization Track and report on resource utilization trends, helping refine allocation strategies and optimize workforce planning over time.

Candidate Qualifications:

  • Experience & Expertise: Minimum 5+ years of experience in IT demand management, capacity planning, and project management within an enterprise environment.
  • Technical & Process Knowledge: Strong understanding of IT processes, project methodologies (Agile, Waterfall), resource allocation, and risk mitigation best practices.
  • Demand & Capacity Management: Experience in triaging, prioritizing, and forecasting IT demand, with a focus on aligning work with available resources.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, Data, and Business Units, to coordinate estimates and resource allocation.
