Job Summary
This role is critical in bridging the gap between business needs and technical solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in gathering and analyzing requirements, improving business processes, and delivering actionable insights to support strategic goals in the healthcare and finance domains.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with stakeholders across healthcare and finance departments to understand business needs and objectives.
- Gather, analyze, and document functional and non-functional requirements, ensuring alignment with business goals.
- Conduct business process analysis and identify opportunities for improvement, optimization, and automation.
- Create detailed business requirements documents (BRD), use cases, user stories, and process flows.
- Serve as the primary liaison between business teams, technical teams, and vendors, ensuring seamless communication.
- Conduct gap analysis to identify risks, issues, and dependencies and recommend actionable solutions.
- Lead and facilitate workshops, stakeholder meetings, and requirement-gathering sessions.
- Support system implementation and integration projects, including testing and post-implementation reviews.
- Analyze healthcare and financial data to provide insights and identify trends, enabling data-driven decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations (e.g., HIPAA for healthcare, SOX for finance) and best practices.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 12+ years of experience as a Business Analyst.
- In-depth understanding of healthcare systems, EMR/EHR platforms, payer-provider workflows, and regulatory compliance (e.g., HIPAA).
- Strong knowledge of financial processes, systems, and regulatory requirements, such as SOX and GAAP.
- Proven experience in business process mapping, gap analysis, and workflow design.
- Proficiency in tools like JIRA, Confluence, MS Visio, and other business analysis tools.
- Experience with data analysis, including proficiency in SQL, Excel, and BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
- Solid understanding of Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall methodologies, with experience working in cross-functional teams.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on delivering value-driven solutions.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of healthcare coding standards (e.g., ICD-10, CPT) and financial modeling.
- Certifications such as Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP), Certified Scrum Master (CSM), or PMI-PBA.
- Familiarity with healthcare payer-provider workflows, revenue cycle management, and claims processing.
