Job Description:

As a Guidewire Architect within our architecture organization, you will collaborate with senior Technology and Business leaders and apply your broad Guidewire architecture experience by helping to support a strategic Guidewire initiative. You will provide consulting and be a champion for helping to establish Guidewire architecture practices that will help align capabilities within Guidewire to fit the needs of our business groups.
Duties and responsibilities

• Lead the design and deployment of Guidewire solutions (Policy, Billing and Claims) leveraging best practices and architectural principles.
• Help to establish governance and control processes to ensure successful and healthy Guidewire implementations
• Demonstrate a strong passion for following and sharing Guidewire s Cloud roadmap and highlight opportunities and challenges to complement our initiatives
• Architecture responsibility within a major segment of Technology Architecture in support of the Architecture Modernization
• Works with the Senior leadership within Technology and Business to develop architecture priorities and direction to enable business imperatives
• Displays strong thought leadership in pursuit of modern architecture principals and technology modernization driving continuous technology transformation to minimize technical debt
• Hands-on prototyping of new technology solutions
• Defines target state technology architecture and roadmaps
• Ensures alignment of IT initiatives with the target state
• Prepares and delivers comprehensive communications to convey architectural direction and how it aligns with enterprise strategy
• Optimizes talent strategy to ensure proper mix of resources and attracts and recruits best talent
• Continuously improve efficiency and effectiveness of the Guidewire platform
• Perform other responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements:

• Architecture experience
• Previous experience with Guidewire Cloud, Policy Center, Billing Center and Claim Center
• Provided mentorship to developers
• Organizational and transformational experience in an agile operating model
• Establishes strategic technology direction and architecture vision for an organization
• Strong proven Software Engineering experience
• Developed technology target state, roadmaps that aligned to Short- and Long-term business goals
• Proven track record of influencing senior leadership
• Insurance technology experience
• Current deep experience with AWS, APIs, accelerators, DevSecOps
• Cloud Architecture Certification (AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or Azure) or strong architecture experience on Cloud would be preferred
• Good understanding of security
• Experienced with large scale technology platforms

Work Environment:

• Hybrid (3 days onsite per week in Blue Bell, PA)
